The fire that destroyed the Gibson Gym on October 12, 2005 was the beginning of a new era for Fryeburg Academy and the ski team.  The old ski room was removed for the reconstruction of the new athletic facility.

The new ski building was built as an addition on the back of the Industrial Arts building.  You can follow the progress of its construction below.

On December 23, 2006 the building was dedicated as the Weston-Atwood Ski Building.
